About Us

The Kashmir Pine Foundation, a newly established charitable organisation dedicated to the holistic revitalization of Kashmir. Our mission is to address the region’s most pressing needs in the areas of education & healthcare as well as the preservation of its natural environment in the State.
We believe that Kashmir, with its rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, and resilient people deserves a bright future. However, decades of conflict and instability have taken their toll, leaving behind significant challenges that require a concerted effort to overcome.
Our team of dedicated people from a diverse range of professional backgrounds have come together to help overcome these challenges and ensure that we create opportunities to those growing up in Jammu & Kashmir to have every opportunity in life, to overcome these challenges and break the poverty cycle.
In ode to the magnificent Kashmir Pine, our Foundation also has many branches and strong roots through which we hope to help enrich lives in Jammu & Kashmir.
Our Passion
We want to improve access to education for all, particularly disadvantaged children and those living in the most remote parts of Jammu & Kashmir. We aim to offer workshops & learning activities, to work with parents & local communities to drive home the importance of education and skills development. Whether it is through Mohalla Classes or Digital Literacy Classes we will sow the seeds of a better future for children and young people. If you can help, then please get in touch.
As important as education is, children and young people will not escape the poverty trap if their health is not looked after. Our Foundation wants to ensure access to great healthcare across the region. We aim to work with the vast list of NGO’s that offer healthcare screening and assist those in need of further care to access the network of state and privately run hospitals throughout Jammu & Kashmir.
Jammu & Kashmir is blessed with an abundance of natural beauty, but our rich biodiversity is under threat from climate change and harmful human impact. We will work with organisations like The Nature University to help educate people about the steps they can take to protect our beautiful and unique environment.
From Saffron to Stags we have a rich environment which we need to secure for future generations. Like so many things in our world, the Hangul, or Kashmir Stag, is on the brink of extinction. Despite being the state animal of Jammu & Kashmir, there are now less than 300 of this species left. Previously believed to be a subspecies of the European red deer, the Hangul was officially recognised as a distinct species in 2017.
The shy, majestic Kashmiri Stags need our help if they are to survive. If you would like to help us in protecting this special species in Kashmir so that they can roam the slopes of the region’s forested mountain ranges, then please support our foundation.
